Last weekend I was going to pick up the whole house and get it back to normal...until I opened the fridge. Yuck. Normally, if something spills I just wipe the shelf. But eventually gunk just builds up and it was time to empty the whole fridge and clean it out. So I spent some time doing that and it came out pretty squeaky clean.

The day after Valentine's day, I left with 7 of the Alpha Phi collegians to go to a Regional Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. This conference is held every year and the purpose is to provide each of the officers with specific training to help them do their job as well as to help them become better leaders. We left Friday morning around 6am and got there in the early afternoon. We started right away with a meeting with some of the regional team to go over anything that we might need help with. After that was a dinner and welcoming thing and by the time we were done it was almost 11pm. Some of the other advisors were all going to hang out but I was so tired I just went to bed - I felt like such a fuddy duddy. Here's an awesome picture of me sleeping in the car, LOL.
I know, I know, Valentine's day was over a week ago but I'm still playing catch up. I like to still write the posts even if I don't get them up until a little later. Ryan and I don't really do cards or gifts for each other except for maybe something small. I got Ryan TWO bags of starburst jellybeans - I probably should have gotten him an extra toothbrush too lol. And for me, he stopped on his way home at Downtown Produce ( a local meats and produce place) and got us two thick steaks, some huge sea scallops and giant potatoes to bake. When I got home, he had this delicious dinner waiting for me:
In my quest to give mostly handmade gifts this year, I wanted to make my dad something on my embroidery machine. I know he has plenty of KU gear but you can really never have too much right? And especially if it is handmade :) So first, I finished up the pocket tee that Beth had started for herself but didn't get to finish (I still need to mail or deliver it to her though).
So at my last post it had been 5 days since I posted and I couldn't believe how much time I let go by...now here it is 9 days after that without another post, LOL. Let's start with the end of the Alpha Phi weekend about a week and a half ago. I totally forgot to take a picture of my fingernails I painted and since I didn't have any other pics I figured I better post this one, heehee. I did a red base and then silver tips and then someone suggested I paint a thin white line between the red and silver. But after I did that I wanted rhinestones on my nails. Unfortunately, all the other girls needed help so I only put them on one hand hahaha. I just used a little extra topcoat to secure them and that didn't seem to be quite enough - on all four fingers they fell off within a couple days (only the ones on my thumb stayed on).
5 days since I last posted, yikes!! I was doing so good in January...I'll have to start typing up my blog posts at work on my lunch breaks again - that way when it's late and I'm tired, all I have to do is publish them, heehee. Well let's see, what's happened since Rusty and the Moore posse last visited us? We had a fairly normal week and it was busy as usual. Ryan played some ingress, I had some Alpha Phi meetings and then all the usual chores and housework.
This past weekend, Ryan’s dad Rusty drove down from Maryland to drop off a car for Greg. After he dropped off the car, Rusty and the Moore posse all came down to our house to visit on Saturday and Sunday. They all got in around lunch time on Saturday so we met at Chili’s for lunch and then headed back to our house. The usual craziness ensued – trying to make sure Addi doesn’t hurt herself, trying to keep Addi from turning off Aubrey’s movie, trying to keep Aubrey entertained, etc. We were watching Tarzan with Aubrey but mid-way through the movie it was time for her nap. We don’t have cable so we just left the movie on and hung out in the living room. But then when Aubrey got up , the first thing she wanted to do was watch the rest of the movie, haha! I also made some peanut butter ice cream while the girls were napping – it is delicious!!
Over the weekend, Greg & Mel (and the posse) were here - more on that later. But while Mel was here, we decided to make some Valentine's Day shirts for the kiddos. We made one for Greyson that came out super adorable!
You may recall that for the first quarter of the year (by 3/31/13), I am hoping to run a 5K in 26:00 or under and to get my weight to 140lb or less. To reach this first goal, I said that I would do the following in January:
