5 days...

5 days since I last posted, yikes!!  I was doing so good in January...I'll have to start typing up my blog posts at work on my lunch breaks again - that way when it's late and I'm tired, all I have to do is publish them, heehee.  Well let's see, what's happened since Rusty and the Moore posse last visited us?  We had a fairly normal week and it was busy as usual.  Ryan played some ingress, I had some Alpha Phi meetings and then all the usual chores and housework.

Friday night, I was working on getting a bunch of plans and stuff together for an Alpha Phi event.  We wanted to host a fun afternoon for the advisors and executive board (instead of just work like we usually do) so everyone could get to know each other a little better and have some fun too.  So on Saturday at noon, about 10 girls came over to my house for Alpha Phi-athon!  I set up a cupcake baking and decorating station, a painting/craft station, a manicure station and a sewing station. All the girls rotated around and tried different things and they had so much fun.  As usual, I didn't get any photos because I was too busy being a hostess but they really made some awesome stuff!  In the kitchen I saw mini pumpkin cheesecakes and strawberry cupcakes filled with marshmallow and other goodies.  At the craft station, there was all sorts of painting and decorating going on and I saw some super cute picture frames.  The manicure station got a little crazy between the stamping sets, nail pens, glitter, gem stones and polish - the girls always amaze me with their creativity!

Lastly was the sewing.  The girls had SOO much fun sewing.  One girl made an Alpha Phi tote bag and several others made monogram pocket tee's that are so trendy.  I wish I had pics of all of them!  If any of the girls post pics on facebook I promise to steal them and post them up here!  When the event ended and everyone had to go home, I was so exhausted!  I hardly did anything at all the rest of Saturday night and I think I was in bed by 10pm, LOL.   the cleanup was pretty massive so I did the bare minimum and put away anything that would spoil or would get ruined if it was left out.  Tomorrow, I'll put up some pics of what the cleanup led to... :)

Oh and in case you were wondering, Ryan vacated the house for the day and went fishing, LOL.
