So at my last post it had been 5 days since I posted and I couldn't believe how much time I let go by...now here it is 9 days after that without another post, LOL. Let's start with the end of the Alpha Phi weekend about a week and a half ago. I totally forgot to take a picture of my fingernails I painted and since I didn't have any other pics I figured I better post this one, heehee. I did a red base and then silver tips and then someone suggested I paint a thin white line between the red and silver. But after I did that I wanted rhinestones on my nails. Unfortunately, all the other girls needed help so I only put them on one hand hahaha. I just used a little extra topcoat to secure them and that didn't seem to be quite enough - on all four fingers they fell off within a couple days (only the ones on my thumb stayed on).

I finished RJ's quilt yesterday and am anxious to get started on Danielle's tshirt quilt but I ran out of interfacing right after RJ's quilt. So I reviewed the layout and then planned the exact cutting sizes for each of the shirts. I got all of the shirts cut and am ready to cut and iron on the interfacing as soon as I get it. I went by JoAnn's the other day after work but they didn't have the big bolt I need so I ordered it online and am waiting semi-patiently for it to arrive.
So, if you read my earlier posts, I mentioned that I got an inquiry on my Etsy site for three shirt/clothing quilts. Well Danielle placed an order for the three quilts! I have done lots of quilts for friends, family, friends of friends, etc but this is my first Etsy order that is from someone who does not know me or anyone I know. I am so excited for the opportunity to work on these quilts and happy that Danielle is trusting me with her precious children's clothing to make her three great quilts! But I do not approve of unfinished projects so before I can start on that order, I need to finish Gwen's high school tshirt quilt. Tonight, I sewed on the borders so now the quilt top is completed and ready for me to layer it with the backing and batting and then quilt it on the machine, yay!!
Ok I know, I know...valentines day was last week. But I wanted to paint my nails for Valentine's Day and I never got around to it so I did it last night. I vowed to try to get better at girly stuff (like painting my nails) and in high school I used to be good at painting them. I've painted them a couple times with solid colors recently and it went fairly well so I decided to try something more difficult. My solid color manicure typically lasts for 6-7 days but we'll see how long this lasts (I'll post an update later this week).
