I am so happy to say that I finally got Bianca's quilt done!  That might be the largest quilt I've ever done and it certainly has the most shirt blocks I've ever sewn!

Some of you might recall that last year I went to a regional conference for Alpha Phi in place of the advisor.  Now that I am the chapter advisor, it was my responsibility to go again this year.

Bianca's Quilt Pt 6 - Quilting

2/9/2014

Normally I don't have quite so many posts about the same quilt but this quilt has as many shirts as two or even three of my normal quilts so it has taken quite a bit longer.  Last time, I mentioned I had finally finished piecing the back of the quilt (this one's double sided, remember?).  Well, I got the beast onto the quilt machine and got all the quilting done!  I unfortunately didn't have enough leftover fabric to make the binding so as soon as that comes in the mail, this quilt will finally be complete!

Melbourne Half Marathon

This past weekend, I did my 2nd Half Marathon, yay!  My running partner and I followed this 12-week Plan and it went pretty well.  The only other half I've done before was the Walt Disney World 1/2 Marathon and I didn't do very well (2:42:28 or 12:24/mile) but mostly because I didn't train for it.  Well, I got a new PR of 2:02:33 (9:21/mile), yay!  I was hoping for 2hrs and I almost made it - next time I'll def get it!  Here's a pic of me and three of my Piper Race Teammates after the race!!
