My quilt arrived yesterday and it was absolutely beautiful, I could have cried with joy. Ashley is a delight to work with, and the quality is top notch. I absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a priceless, one of a kind keepsake
Last time I showed you D'Arcey's quilt, it was on the quilt machine ready to be quilted up. Well, I finished up the quilting, trimmed it up and added the binding. This quilt came out super cute - I'm so happy with how it came out. Apparently D'Arcey likes it too, she left me this sweet review on my Etsy Shop...thanks so much for letting me work on your quilt!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I know that most people probably celebrated over the weekend since today is a Monday (boo!) but hopefully you have some fun today too. Maybe some green beer or green mashed potatoes with dinner? As I was looking at all the adorable St. Patty's pins on pinterest, it made me realize - I totally dropped the ball on the Shoebox Swap. So, if you are interested in restarting and/or joining the shoebox swap (first one would be due in the mail by the end of April), let me know by Friday 3/21 and we'll get it going again. Here's a few fun photos of past swaps to reminisce. Yesterday, Ryan's parents, brother and I ran the Gate River Run 15k (9.3 miles) race together in Jacksonville, FL. It was Mary's 1st 15k and the second time Ryan, Rusty (his dad) and I have done this race. Everyone had a great time and felt really good (although Ryan can barely walk today since he didn't train at all, LOL). Family races are so fun! Ryan (1:24:56), Ashley (1:34:09), Mary (1:44:19), Rusty (1:18:03) & Greg (1:07:47)
I'm happy to say I've got another baby clothes quilt to work on - all of these orders are coming in from Etsy (not people I know personally) so maybe my name and brand are finally starting to get out there. I started with a rough layout of the clothes and some discussion back and forth about what Maura wanted the quilt to look like.
Late last year, I had the idea to start an official running club at my work. I started emailing people to find out who would be interested and then pitched the idea to HR. After some negotiating back and forth, we were able to launch the official Piper Racing Team.
As you may or may not know, I've been trying to eat a lot healthier lately to lose some weight and get back to my college size. Last week, I tried to make some zucchini chips to go with this seafood salad I made.
After I got Sandy's quilt done, I was able to pay some more attention to D'Arcey's quilt and get it all loaded up onto the quilt machine.
The last two weeks i have been a sewing fiend - too busy to even update my blog about all the great work I've been doing :) Last time I posted about Sandy's quilt, I had just finished cutting and interfacing the shirts.
