Once all the star centers were complete, it was time to use up all those flying geese and the rest of my cut pieces to make the surrounds for the stars. First I laid out the pieces to sew for each of the four corners (for each block). Next I sewed the four sides for each block. Just keep repeating this until you've made all the corners and sides for all the blocks (16 blocks in my case). Each set/block probably took me around 20 minutes. I haven't sewn the sides onto the star centers yet but I'm getting excited just laying them out and seeing how great these blocks are going to look. I think it's really going to be worth it!!
