I also took a couple breaks to work on trimming the enclosure cards for the invitations. I think my trimmer blade is getting a bit dull but it is a really old trimmer and I'm not sure if I can even find a replacement. So hopefully it will hold on just a little longer so I can finish the wedding invitations.
Let's see...where did I leave off last...oh yes, saturday! So anyways, I got all the interfacing ironed on the shirts for the other side of Danielle's quilt and then I got that side pieced too (except for the borders). Sorry for the bad lighting but when I quilt at night my only light is right above that desk so it always makes for bad pics after dark. This side will also get a border all the way around it that will be the same color as the border on the other side and then the binding as well. While I was inside doing all of this, Ryan was in the garage/driveway trying to rip out the floor of the VW bus so he can weld in a new one. He had to drill out hundreds of spot welds and then cut out the floor panel. He did end up getting the whole floor out, yay! Now he has to grind off the remaining metal from the spotwelds, sand blast the frame and then weld in the new floor panel. I think he said it's also missing a few support pieces that he will need to fabricate before he can weld in the new floor so I'm sure it will keep him busy for a while (especially since we will be busy the next several weekends). Meanwhile...the animals were being super helpful (as usual) LOL Sunday, we took out the boat with Mary, Charlie, Mike, Hazel & Ryan (co-workers of Ryan's) and then we went to Charlie's for dinner and he made us some awesome Chicken Fried Rice, Crab Rangoons and cucumber-crab salad. We finished the weekend with a late night of mexican train dominos - it was so fun!
