In light of my recent obsession with remodeling, upgrading and beautifying our house...for my birthday I asked for gift certificates to get things for the house (big surprise huh?). Thanks to my Dad & Laurie, we were able to get a new chandelier and fan for the landing and stairway. The chandelier is from the same set as our dining room light and I have wanted to buy it and put it up practically ever since we got the dining room light fixture 3 - 4 years ago. Here's the old light fixture that was there:
And here's the new one that I wanted so badly, yay!! Thanks Ryan for getting on a super tall ladder in a super awkward spot to hang up my new light :)
Here's the old fan we took down. Ryan actually liked the old fan and while I agree it was a unique fan that was very interesting...it wasn't my favorite. And it didn't have a light fixture either even though there was a switch wired for a light. So we got a coordinating fan to replace the crazy green/tan fan.
And here's the new fan, yay! Funny thing: the box says it can be installed in 5 minutes, LOL. I've never seen a ceiling fan you can install in 5 minutes. Heck, it takes more than that to get it out of the packaging.
