You may recall that for my birthday last April, Ryan promised to build me a kitchen island that I had designed and sketched up. He made a some good progress over the summer but he still had quite a ways to go. This past weekend he got some more done. He started by adding feet to the bottom of the island!
After he got the feet screwed on, he bought two boards and glued them together to make into the countertop portion of the island. He used a bunch of batteries from the electric car to weigh down the pieces while the glue dried.
Last but not least, he made two of the doors for the trash and recycling, yay!! We still need to paint or stain them but look how great they look! I can't wait to get my finished island :)
