Over the past few weeks, we've been working on projects and travelling so much, we haven't gotten enough time to just...chill out. This weekend, I was expecting to work on more projects but instead, we had a surprising yet nice "Florida style" weekend.

Saturday morning we got the boat ready and then some of our friends came over. I was supposed to go out boating with some co-workers who were headed south of Vero to "Redneck Riviera" but since we were taking our boat out from Palm Bay, I convinced them to meet us at "The Sandbar" in Sebastian instead. To describe either place, just think of the song:
A girl that came with my co-workers happened to bring her dog Stella so Willow was so excited! We pretty much just lounged around, played with the pups and joked around for most of the day. Around 3 or 4 in the afternoon we decided to head back but as we were driving back, one of our friends who was supposed to meet us earlier, happened to drive by us going the opposite direction! So we made a u-turn and gave it full throttle until we caught up to them and caught their attention. I guess they had just gotten really delayed so we headed to one of the islands and hung out some more. Willow was happy because it meant she got to run around on the island - which she loved!
Finally, it was getting close to dinner time so we headed home, cleaned up, got some food and vegetated the rest of the night. We watched a movie on TV I hadn't seen in a long time, LOL. Guess what was on TV?

On Sunday, the boys wanted to go fishing so Kayla and I made plans to go down to the Vero Beach outlets. It's not often I agree to drive to Vero on a non-work day but I do like the outlets and Kayla had never been. While Ryan was getting the boat ready, I also finally got around to washing, drying, waxing and "rain-x"ing my car. Yay for a clean car! Sadly, I didn't get to the inside yet but the outside badly needed to be cleaned and waxed. I also need to pick up a clear coat touch up kit so i can paint/sand/finish a couple little dings and a scuff. Right after I finished the outside of my car and showered, Kayla showed up and we headed down to Vero.
We got some really good deals - Kayla got some new shorts, blouses and even a polka dot bikini. I got about 5 or 6 new blouses that are super cute and I got Ryan some shorts, a polo and a couple tees. I also got two new skirts that are super cute and were only $10 each, wahoo! I wasn't as good of a deal finder as I was with Melissa but I still got some really cute clothes for a good price. Once we got too tired to shop any more we headed over to my favorite restaurant for lunch :)
Last but not least, Kayla wanted to make one last stop. Shockingly neither of us bought anything!
When we got home, the boys were back from fishing but as usual, they didn't catch anything we could eat. And now, we're relaxing for the evening and doing our usual lazy thing - I tried to get Ryan to play tennis with me but he wasn't up for it. Maybe I'll go work on some sewing? Mmm...we'll see :)
