I’m finally feeling all better (no more sickness) and so is Ryan! Ryan got some sort of stomach bug and was very sick from Sunday night until yesterday morning. Then yesterday he finally started feeling better. He even went ahead and did a little laundry and disinfected any surfaces he may have touched while sick. I did a little more laundry last night and then went upstairs to work on cleaning my sewing room. It went from this:

And you can see in the picture that I finished my Valentine’s day pot holder for myself too. I still have a lot of work to do in the quilt room (there are some messy drawers that you can’t see inside of) but I feel so much better now that it’s at least clean enough to work in. I need to find a place to store that bolt of batting (in the big cardboard box). I also need to go through and organize my fabric scraps and start making things for my Etsy shop from my leftover scraps. Lastly, I had started making a UF Gator purse for tailgating a while back and then when I ran out of time to finish it I just set it aside. That is the only sewing project I have ever started and then abandoned in the middle of it. I need to take another look and see if it can be saved or if I should scrap it. Tonight and this weekend I’ll be mostly working on getting my mom’s tablerunner to the 2/3 done point so I make my weekly sewing goal.
I am a part time quilter, full time engineer and hope to one day become a full time quilter. Feel free to read along as I explore quilting, cooking and anything else that strikes my fancy.
