I got an informational packet from the people hosting my upcoming “Bootcamp” and in it, they suggested rating yourself each day on whether or not you did what you were supposed to and counting up how many “points” you got each day. Well I really liked the idea of the points but there’s no reward or punishment for getting or not getting your daily points. So I decided to expand upon it a little bit and implement it for Ryan and I. We’re going to use the points to “earn” tv and computer time. We spend way too much time watching TV so from now on, you only get to watch TV or be on the computer if you’ve earned your points.

You may recall that for the first quarter of the year (by 3/31/13), I am hoping to run a 5K in 26:00 or under and to get my weight to 140lb or less. To reach this first goal, I said that I would do the following in February:
You might have seen my recent facebook post that we are thinking about getting a new boat. Over the past year, we've noticed that our current boat just isn't really meeting our boating needs any more. What we currently have is a 2006 Bayliner 175. I can't find a pic that shows our entire boat so here's someone else's pic - this looks exactly like our boat.
This year, I decided to space out the swaps a little bit more because we all got too busy last year. So we assigned the swap partners on 1/15 and then everyone had until the end of Feb to mail their boxes. Hopefully everyone has mailed there's by now. I'll admit I was running a little late myself - mine just went in the mail yesterday. Although, to be fair, it took a little longer since I had to make stuff for two swap partners this month. I always make some stuff for myself when I do the craft swaps too. Sometimes I just make duplicates - one for me, one for my swap partner. And sometimes I make something else for me that's still the same theme. For myself, I made a wreath this year out of my tshirt fabric scraps and a few other accessories.
